10 UK Guitar Companies I love and that you Should Check out – A list of Britain’s Best!
Introduction
Through this website, we’ve had the pleasure of meeting some incredible people in the music world—especially within the guitar community! As a UK-based team, we wanted to highlight some amazing British guitar companies we’ve worked with, many of whom have become great friends. So, we’ve put together a list of 10 UK guitar companies we love—and you should too!
Just to be clear, we haven’t received anything from these UK guitar companies in exchange for this article. In fact, they don’t even know we’re writing it! While we have collaborated with some of them in the past on reviews, builds, or projects, none of them have paid us to be included here. We simply want to shine a spotlight on brands we think are truly outstanding and deserve recognition.
So, let’s dive right in with our first of many UK guitar companies—a company that creates something loud, lush, and essential to any guitarist’s setup… amplifiers!
RD amplification
I first met Rob at a small guitar show (read the full article). We ended up chatting for ages about gear, guitars, and music in general! We’ve even reviewed one of his amps, which ultimately led me to order a fully custom build (an article on that is coming soon).
Rob specializes in fully custom amps, all based around his signature circuit—the Dualist. However, this circuit is incredibly versatile, coming in multiple forms and adaptable to suit any player’s needs.
Simply put, Rob and amps are a perfect match! His knowledge is incredible, and every conversation with him feels like a lesson in tone and design. The build quality of his amps is outstanding—I’m honestly surprised more people don’t know about them! In terms of tonal versatility, craftsmanship, and attention to detail, I’d say his work rivals high-end boutique builders, even approaching the legendary Dumble amps.
Check out our RD Amps review below, along with links to Rob’s website and Instagram. Make sure to explore his lineup—you won’t be disappointed!
"Munson isn’t your typical "fully custom guitar" company. While every guitar is hand-built in the UK, their approach combines custom craftsmanship with a structured lineup of models and shapes"
Munson Guitars
The next on our list of UK guitar companiesWhere do we even start with Munson? We’ve known the team at Munson for a while now and have had the pleasure of reviewing several of their guitars—and we’ve absolutely loved them! We’ve also spent a lot of time chatting with Jon from Munson about all things music and guitars, discussing everything from custom builds to challenges in the guitar industry. In fact, maybe it’s time we get him on for an interview!
Munson isn’t your typical “fully custom guitar” company. While every guitar is hand-built in the UK, their approach combines custom craftsmanship with a structured lineup of models and shapes. This means you can start with a base model and customize it to your liking rather than designing completely from scratch.
Every Munson model is beautifully crafted and built to an exceptional standard. We’ve reviewed two of them on our channel (links below) and can’t wait to check out more in the future. Plus, a cool little detail—their guitars are all named after World War aircraft, which is just awesome!
Check out the links to our reviews below, along with Munson’s Instagram and website. Speaking of custom guitar companies, we’ve got another one for you next!
LT Custom Guitars
Of course, Lewis from LT Custom Guitars had to be on this list! We’ve known and worked with Lewis for a few years now. We first met at the Bristol Guitar Show, though we had chatted online before that—right up until I ordered my very own custom left-handed Strat (full build article here). Since then, we’ve collaborated on several projects, and it’s always been a pleasure.
LT Custom Guitars caught my attention because Lewis is left-handed himself, so I knew he’d be able to build a rock-solid lefty for me. But beyond that, he also offers an incredible production range of guitars. I’ve played a few, and they are insane—maybe we should get one in for some video demos!
Lewis works with a handful of unique designs and specs, and they’re all exceptional. It’s always great to meet a builder who truly loves their craft and is passionate about making every guitar as good as it can possibly be.
You can check out videos featuring the Custom Strat and Custom Flying V below. If you’re interested in ordering your own build, head over to his website or Instagram—both linked below.
Now, to build a great guitar, you need great pickups—which brings us to our next company!
Alchemy Pickups
We’ve spoken to Jack at Alchemy Pickups many times to discuss pickups, and I think I’ve had three sets from him now (maybe even four!). Every single time, his service and knowledge have been outstanding. No matter what questions you have, he’s got the answers—and his pickups are always top quality.
Could it get any better? Actually, yes! His pricing is incredible. For hand-built pickups, the value he offers is an absolute steal. Compare his prices to other boutique pickup makers, and you’ll see just how much more affordable they are without sacrificing quality.
If you’re looking for a new set of pickups, Alchemy is the place to go! They offer a huge selection—from vintage-inspired humbuckers to extra-hot single coils and everything in between. And if you’re after something truly unique, I’m sure Jack can craft a custom set just for you!

Their website is packed with some of the best budget-friendly pedal brands, offering prices that are hard to beat. But it’s not just about affordability—they also stock amazing value high-end pedals. Recently, they’ve had killer deals on brands like Thorpy, Analogman, Pedal Pawn, and more!

Marcus Deluxe
Looking for a unique and eye-catching pedalboard? Look no further! Marcus crafts all of his boards using offcuts and recycled materials from his day job, resulting in pedalboards that are not only environmentally friendly but also incredibly well-built, strong, and sturdy. I’ve received tons of compliments and questions about mine while gigging!
We’ve chatted online many times, and I’ve ordered several pedalboards from him that I use regularly. But we finally got to meet in person at the Brighton Guitar Show, where we had a great time discussing pedalboards and his exciting new project, Blanch Flower Guitars (more on that in the coming weeks!).
Marcus’s customer service is top-notch, and his pedalboards are flawless—I’ve never had a single issue with any of them! Plus, the pricing is fantastic for the quality you get.

JSA Guitar Pedal
It’s no surprise that JSA Pedals made this list of UK guitar companies! We’ve worked with Simon many times over the years, and his pedals are absolutely incredible—not to mention super affordable!
I can’t emphasize enough just how knowledgeable and talented Simon is. He can dream up, design, and build just about any circuit you need—and trust me, I’ve put that to the test! He’s built me several custom pedals, and each one has been nothing short of amazing. If you’re after a hand-built UK pedal, JSA Pedals is the name to know. His lineup is huge, and if you need something truly unique, he can design it for you!
Beyond crafting incredible pedals, Simon has also been generous enough to loan me some of his massive collection—for which I’m incredibly grateful. I can’t wait to collaborate with him more in the future… maybe even on some Gigs & Guitars pedals!
We’ve reviewed many JSA Pedals, but our top three standout reviews are linked below. Check them out and hear for yourself what makes JSA Pedals so special!
"Many of the guitar-related products I own have come from Andertons, and their pre- and post-purchase service is top-notch."

We first met the All About Guitars team at the Bristol Guitar Show, and since then, we’ve kept in regular contact. They’re super friendly, knowledgeable, and always happy to help. Plus, they’re local to me, which makes them even more convenient! Whether you need a setup, repair, or full guitar service, they’ll have your guitar playing perfectly in no time.
We’ve also chatted about taking some trips together to various guitar shows, which could lead to some awesome content, vlogs, and behind-the-scenes footage. Let us know over on Instagram if that’s something you’d like to see!

Anderton’s
Rounding off our list of 10 UK Guitar Companies You Should Check Out, we have none other than Andertons Music Co.. While I don’t personally know Lee Anderton (though we’ve exchanged a few messages online), I’ve visited the shop multiple times and made plenty of purchases through their online store.
One thing I absolutely love about Andertons is their YouTube channel—it’s packed with great content, and they often showcase smaller brands, something we’re also passionate about on this site. Many of the guitar-related products I own have come from Andertons, and their pre- and post-purchase service is top-notch.
There are plenty of amazing music shops across the UK, and we’ve visited quite a few. Maybe we should take a road trip to check them out and put together an article (or even some reviews) highlighting different guitar and music stores—let us know if that’s something you’d like to see!
Lastly, if you’re thinking about buying from Andertons, we do have an affiliate link. Using it helps support our site at no extra cost to you, so if you’d like to help us out, we’d really appreciate it!
